Problem
GEO-B1-M02-P001 The SAS Criterion
#1
★☆☆☆☆ Level 1 of 5
In triangles \(ABC\) and \(DEF\), it is known that \(AB=DE\), \(AC=DF\), and \(\angle BAC=\angle EDF\). Prove that \(BC=EF\).
Check that the equal angle is included between the two equal sides.
In triangles \(ABC\) and \(DEF\), two sides and the included angle are respectively equal. By SAS, the triangles are congruent. Therefore the corresponding third sides are equal: \(BC=EF\).
A basic problem on applying SAS correctly.
